Insider tip
The regular salsas are flavourful but mild, you have to specifically ask for their hottest salsa to get the real heat. Also, the guacamole portion runs small, so order it as a snack rather than a table share. Worth knowing: this is not an all-vegan kitchen, so say you are vegan when you order rather than assuming.

Príncipe Real has the highest density of excellent restaurants in the city, upscale, unhurried, and easy to spend a full day in, with a Sunday antique market, a garden with views, and good eating at almost every turn.
